Reminisce Reinvent Reuse

Im probably not the only one whos a bit strapped for cash this winter, it seems the recession hit us all and reports are suggesting that more and more of us are becoming reluctant to purchase during these times of hardship.

I believe that all of us deserve a treat from time to time, so why put up with the stresses and strains of money worries on our shoulders when we can have a newly reinvented item from our wardrobes placed on them instead?

All we need a fresh burst of enthusiasm for our beloved wardrobes.

If you wish, you could reinvent some of those tired pieces you forgot about. Delve deep inside the horrors of the back of your wardrobe and find a piece of clothing you don’t mind restiching, cutting up, gluing, adorning… the possibilities are endless.

Turn those legendary leather trousers into very fashionable leather shorts. You can add tights, boots and a chunky knit jumper to transform this look for winter.

My favourite way to re-invent tired clothing is so order some studs from ebay and go nuts! jeans, skirts, leather jackets, boots.... pretty much anything can be attacked with studs!

Do you have any ways you re-invent your wardrobe?

No school like the old school(bag)

Ive been jumping for joy at the recent increase in vintage style items in the stores lately. Im a sucker for a vintage style bargain and this satchel school bag by The Cambridge Satchel Company has taken the fashion and blogging world by storm....
The Cambridge Satchel Company started by Julie Deane and her mother Freda Thomas at their kitchen table in 2008 and has grown to a multi million pound company. Its archetypal Englishness is what draws 1500 customers a week and these numbers are growing. If you ask me, the Cambridge satchels are beautifully made, timeless and so traditional these newly handmade beauties could be deemed as Modern vintage chic!  ...read more here

Now this wouldn't be a headwear blog if I didn't show you how this gorgeous piece of arm candy can be worn with hats or facinators this winter would it? (I've chosen to create styles based on the purple Cambridge Satchel, but you can purchase one in a wide variety of colours.)
